Showcase of term 1 ‘Kiwiana Paradise’

This term children looked at my work as a role model for their own paintings and drawings. They explored our colourful world of NZ Native flora and fauna and native birds. Then drew and painted their own interpretation of a ‘Kiwiana Paradise’.

Focusing on shapes, design and colour effects, children enjoyed using professional artist painting mediums that are rich in pigment and come in a range of vibrant colours. Masterpieces are made on 100% cotton and acid free water colour paper which will last a lifetime. Children had fun expressing their creative voice and at the end of the 6 week course they have a professional quality painting completed to a high standard, which they feel proud to take home.

Term 2 ‘Zen Designers’

Term 2, 2017
Starting Monday 15th May, Tuesday 16th, or Wednesday 17th May
Term classes run once a week for 6 consecutive weeks.
Held at Masonic Lodge,1 Dunmore Street, Wanaka.
3.30-4.45pm

Zen Designers
Children will learn the concept of mindfulness, while guided to relax they will direct focus towards their creative expression.

Using the theme of animals or mythical creatures, on illustrator board each child will design their own zen-tangle drawing with ink and explore use of repetitive designs. Creating their master pieces with a choice of inks, vibrant illustrator pro markers and artist coloured pencils, you will have a high standard work of art to enjoy for years to come.
