‘Kiwiana paradise’:
This term children will look at my work as a model and starting point for their own paintings. I will guide them to explore our colourful world of NZ Native flora and native birds. They will draw and paint their own interpretation of a ‘Kiwiana Paradise’.
Focusing on shapes, design and colour effects, children will enjoy using professional artist painting mediums that are rich in pigment and come in a range of vibrant colours. Masterpieces will be made on 100% cotton and acid free water colour paper which will last a lifetime.I will guide your child to express their creative voice and at the end of the 8 week course they will have a professional quality painting completed to a high standard, which they feel proud to take home.

‘Super-pop’ painting and collage: Inspired by the unique and colourful visual vocabulary of artist and designer Chris Uphues, children will create a stunning ‘super-pop’ masterpiece through exploration of drawing, painting and collage on canvas.
Drawing upon your child’s infinite well of creativity, they will make decisions about composition, personal imagery, and colour palettes. I will guide your child to discover their creative voice and at the end of the 8 week course they will have a work of art completed to a high standard, which they feel proud to display.

Term 2,
Monday 4th May, 330 – 445pm (8weeks) $165 including materials
Fly away: Paper-mache birds
Looking at astounding handmade paper birds of inspiring Colombian artist Diana Beltran Herrera. You will pay attention to her use of intricate layers of paper feathers and the incredible detailing of each sculpture that makes them look like they could fly away at any moment. You will use wire and paper mache to create a body then decorate your bird using dyes and paint, collage and feathers. Mmm a delicious tactile project that will inspire your senses.

COSMIC CREATIONS
Here’s an art course for our creative children who love the freedom to create in a guided and inspiring environment. Playing with colours, shapes and free form, we will make stunning suncatchers. Children may choose to connect their creations to a mobile or paint a rainbow tree to use as a hanging base. This class will inspire both boys and girls with inquisitive creative tendencies while fostering an interest in colour, design, shape. This class is a creative gift to your child’s soul.






Term 1, Inspiring Mamas
Wednesday 11th February, 9.45 – 11am (8 weeks) $20 week – including materials
A short class to bring sisters together in hope of empowering you with inspiration and creativity. Starting the term with ‘Cosmic Creations Class’ (details and photos posted above) and adding more delicious creations to your repertoire each week. Come and ravel in colour, shapes, design and free form experimentation resulting in beautiful artworks. Let your creative self shine!

Term 3,
BECOME YOUR TRUEST CREATIVE SELF A process- based class that will empower you with new techniques for uncovering your own style of painting. Drawing upon your infinite well of creativity, you will make decisions about composition, personal imagery, and colour palette. Painting on a canvas at an easil combined with using inspiring music, poetry, movement, affirmations and heart cirlces, Hollie will guide you to discover your creative voice.




April School Holiday Class
Wednesday 23rd April; 10 – 3pm
Sculpture: Inspired by the playful and interesting wire and wood sculptures made by American Sculptor Alexander Calder, children will create their own flying pteranodon or bird and decorate with interesting objects. Children will also develop their own drawings using continuos line into 3 dimensional sculptures using wire. fun fun fun!



Term 4 Monday 14th October, 345pm – 5pm (8 weeks)
Mixed Media: You will be inspired to use colourful mixed media (paint, pastels, dye, inks) to design a magical garden. You will learn about Oaxacan folk art and decorate your own 3D geckos, butterflies and bugs for your magic garden.

October School Holiday Class Tuesday 8th October; 10 – 3pm
Drawing and Printmaking: Inspired by NZ Artist Annie Smits Sandano’s printmaking you will create your own drawing followed by an afternoon packed with child friendly printmaking.

July Holiday Class Tuesday 16th July 10 – 3pm
Abstract Painting on Canvas: Mixed Media, Water soluble and wax/oil mediums – use of every thing we can draw and paint with. A wonderful relaxed class where there are no rules or boundaries. Excited children will be shown a huge variety of painting techniques such as dripping, pouring, spraying, using stensils, pressing textures and more. In a supportive environment they will then be given freedom to explore the large range of mixed media art materials while creating an equisite masterpiece on canvas.

Term 3: 8 Week Course Monday 3.45 – 5pm
Whimsical sculptures – Paper mache and clay An 8 week course where children create their own 3 dimensional trophy heads using inspiration of David Farrer’s wonderful sculptures. Children will also have the opportunity to make a whimsical 3.D sculpture from clay… perhaps a dragon to lurk in the garden?



April Holiday Class
Tuesday 23rd April 10 – 3pm
Lollipop Trees, inspired by Hundertwasser.
Painting, drawing, clay Children will learn about the colourful and energetic work of Hundertwasser and design their own lollipop trees. Using paint and executing design skills taught they will make a magical masterpiece. Using the same theme children will also enjoy sculpting a wall plaque from self -drying clay.


Term 2 – 8 week class Monday 3.45 – 5pm
City of Dreams – ‘Candy Land’, inspired by Hundertwasser For children who LOVE to create…as this class offers an extensive range of mediums taught Painting, drawing, clay, printmaking Inspired by the architecture of Hundertwasser children will design their own colourful candyland cities with icecream turrets and lollipop trees! Children will use paint, dye, pastels and scrafitto to complete a highly finished masterpiece. During this course children will also create an artwork using printmaking techniques as well experience making their own clay sculpture.
